Cinco De Mayo

The fifth of May is known as "Cinco De Mayo" in Mexico.  So we decided to celebrate with a multicultural theme day.

Planet Active

At the end of April or grade one class got to participate in a program from the local college.  The resources we used that day were then given to the school.  Here are some fun pictures of our little martians making their way across planet active...

Bulletin Boards

We are very proud of the work we do in grade one.  This is our artistic depiction of Mrs. Thomson's grade one garden.  We are growing and blooming in the sunshine and rain of Magrath Elementary School.  And the best part is, our garden is better because we are all different!

This is the bulletin board we made in our color unit.  It shows our experiments with mixing the primary colors to get secondary colors.

Ladybug Math

We are working on our adding and subtracting skills and strategies.  We found some funny lady bugs to help us out.  How many dots do you see?
